Rez Sig/Focus switching bug or intent? - Guild Wars Forums

I don't know if this is a bug or design intent. This concerns focus switching.

As everyone knows, when you get rezzed with a rez sig, you come back with 25% energy and 100% health.

So here is the deal; you've run out of energy, so you switch to your -2 regen +30 energy offhand set. Then you die. You cannot switch weapon sets while dead. If you are rezzed with a rez sig, you will have 25% of your 40+30 energy; i.e. 17.5 energy. You will also have -2 pips of regen, leaving you with a mere 1 pip after Boon; one third of your regular regen rate. If you switch to your main equipment set, you will have *negative 12 energy*. So basically, you are completely screwed, you have to stick with your 1 pip of regen otherwise you have negative energy.

Conversely, if you were rezzed while wearing your regular gearset, you will be rezzed with 25% of 40 energy; i.e. 10 energy, and 4 pips of regen.

So if this is working as intended, you have to not ever die with your second set equipped, otherwise you will be screwed on the energy front when you come back.

Yup. And it's not a bug.

Switching weapons sets / armour sets has lots of great effects for those who can be bothered to do it. A necro with two pairs of armour, one with 5 superior runes on it, can switch, use Blood is Power, then switch back, and it will only cost ~35 health instead of ~180. Switch to a low energy weapon set before you rebirth someone, and the rebirth will only consume your base energy, allowing you to swap back and immediately refill some of your energy pool.

In fact, if you also take of your chest and glove armour before a rebirth, you can save yourself even more energy...
